Tourists are heading towards a small Chinese village after it became the scene of a riot between locals and police.
It is believed that tens of thousands of people from nearby towns and cities have flocked each day to visit the site in the village of Huaxi, in eastern China's Zhejiang province.
The confrontation occurred when a group of elderly protesters took up residence outside thirteen chemical factories and refused to move on, resulting in a crowd of around 50,000.
The protestors claim the factories are responsible for polluting the environment and poisoning local crops as well as increasing the number of stillborn baby cases in the village.
For the past two years, Huaxi residents have petitioned the government to relocate the factories claiming that emissions have made agriculture virtually impossible, forcing farmers to seek other forms of employment.
