British couples have voted the Caribbean island of St Lucia the ideal location for their wedding.
A survey conducted by American Express Travel revealed that the island makes the ideal setting for a wedding and offers perfect weather as well as a stunning backdrop. However, couples are reminded to make sure they don't forget to shop around for the best holiday insurance before jetting off.
Getting hitched can be stressful enough without having to worry about the potential of being forced to pay for emergency medical treatment, cover the cost of delayed flights or lost belongings – especially given the price of that all-important dream wedding dress.
The island of Barbados was named as the second most popular wedding spot, alongside Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Antigua and Jamaica. The city of Las Vegas was voted the best value location for tying the knot.
