Holidaymakers who were left stranded in foreign climes when Carlisle-based bus company Redcrest Holidays went out of business are finally set to return to Cumbria.
Around 180 tourists were due to return over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and will now journey back on coaches paid for by the Association of Britain Travel Agents (ABTA), BBC News reports.
An ABTA spokeswoman also announced: "Holidays booked to begin in the next few days have been cancelled and travellers are entitled to a refund."
Redcrest Holidays ceased trading last week after going into heavy debt.
The majority of the stranded holidaymakers had been staying in the Spanish Costas.
