Many Brits travelling abroad don't get the best deal on their holiday currency.
Research from the Post Office highlights that many people fail to shop around to get the best exchange rates and in some cases don't even understand which currency they need for their trip.
The study suggests that around a third of travellers don't check exchange rates and this means they are more likely to lose money when changing their spending money.
Many holidaymakers are also unfamiliar with foreign currency notes, with some still not able to recognise the euro, despite it being the most popular purchased currency.
"With euros dominating UK foreign currency sales, we are surprised that there is such low recognition of the notes amongst UK holidaymakers," said Hugh Stacey, head of travel services at the Post Office.
"Being out of pocket because you dont understand the value of your foreign currency is a sure way to spoil your holiday abroad."
