Two leading supermarkets have been given the thumbs up for the financial services products they offer their customers.
Tesco and Sainsbury's have both made inroads into the financial services market offering products from car insurance to banking.
Comparison website uSwitch found that supermarkets were competing well with established providers.
"Supermarket banks remain competitive within a busy market while recent and current offers for new customers suggest that they intend to stay that way," said uSwitch spokesman Nick White.
"We will watch with interest to see whether they decide to keep their offering as competitive in the long term, or whether they decide to offer slightly less competitive rates to their customers once they have signed up."
