Imagination is not only the preserve of young drivers according to the latest reasons behind motor insurance claims.
Norwich Union has revealed a list of the most bizarre motor claims made during 2005 including appearances from frozen squirrels and kebabs.
One motorist said the frozen squirrel fell out of a tree and crashed his windshield, whilst another driver claimed a wasp sting on the leg caused a sudden surge in acceleration and a collision with the car in front.
One claim even involved a frozen kebab flying out of a car window and damaging a passing vehicle.
Sally Leeman of Norwich Union said: "We see a lot of strange claims but we were surprised at how many involved animals and food, of all things. We can hardly tell drivers to beware of flying kebabs and frozen squirrels when theyre on the roads, but this shows how important it is to be aware of whats going on around you at all times"
All of the claims were found to be legitimate and were paid out.
