Outdoor security
Outdoor security is designed specifically with garages and sheds in mind, as this is where valuable tools are stored and hidden. There are two main types of outdoor security:
- A passive infra-red detector within the shed or garage which detects body heat and movement.
- A door contact system.
Both of these systems will activate alarms as soon as they are triggered and if the intruder doesn't know the deactivation code.
It is also a good idea to secure property within the shed so that, even if someone did break in, they would not be able to walk off with anything.
- You could fit a a strong lockable box to the floor of your shed or garage which you could store your tools in or chain some of the larger objects to like your lawnmower or bike.
