Spring is in the air - and it could be the best time to look at your insurance policies to make sure you're getting the best deal.
According to insuresupermarket.com, you could save as much as £256 by ensuring you have the right cover for your home, motor, life and travel insurance.
The website's research suggests that paying your home insurance annually could save you £18, whilst increasing your voluntary excess could cut out another £23.
Halving your car mileage could save you £29 on your motor insurance, whilst giving up smoking could cut your life insurance premium by as much as £55 a year if you're male and £42 if you're female.
"Buying insurance is simply buying peace of mind so it is essential that people buy the right cover for their needs. However this need not break the bank," Richard Mason, the website's director, comments.
Research released this week by Alliance & Leicester also found that UK holidaymakers could save a collective £500 million by choosing an annual, multi-trip travel insurance policy.
